How it works
Five kinds of evidence, honestly weighted
Most career quizzes ask what you like and stop there. Compass adds what you can do, how you prefer to work, what life you want the work to fit inside, and what an adult who has actually watched you work has seen.

Principles we hold to
Your interests are yours
Nobody — not a parent, teacher, or coach — can overwrite what you find interesting or what you want your future life to look like.
Aptitude comes from performance
Reasoning results come primarily from what you do in the Strength Lab. Observer input can corroborate, never replace.
Disagreement is information
When your self-rating and an observer's rating differ, Compass shows both. Neither person is framed as wrong.
Labels, not percentiles
Results read Very Strong, Strong, Moderate, or Emerging. Compass does not claim population norms.
Compass is a career-exploration and educational-planning tool. It is not a psychological diagnosis, an IQ test, or an employment-selection assessment, and it does not report population norms or percentiles.
