Privacy
A plain-language summary while Compass is in active development. A full policy will replace this before public launch.
Adults hold the account
A parent or guardian creates the account and manages Compass for minors. Students do not need their own email address or login.
What we collect about a student
A first or preferred name, birth year, grade level, and optionally an expected graduation year and pronouns — plus the answers given inside Compass. We do not collect a full date of birth, home address, phone number, school name, or student email.
Observers
Invited adults describe only what they have actually observed. Their input never overwrites a student's own interests or future preferences. Invitation links are stored in a hashed form so they cannot be read back out of our records.
Your data
Only the signed-in account can read or change its own profile and student records. You can request deletion of your account and student profiles at any time.
Compass is a career-exploration and educational-planning tool. It is not a psychological diagnosis, an IQ test, or an employment-selection assessment, and it does not report population norms or percentiles.
